There are seven traditionally recognized: the prophecy of Simeon, the flight to Egypt, losing the child Jesus in Jerusalem, meeting Jesus on the road to Calvary, standing at the foot of the cross, receiving the body of Jesus, and placing the body of Jesus in the tomb.
